Yoshiaki Inoue Gallery は、Tokyo Gendai 2026 において、企画展「Post Human ̶ Beyond the Human Condition」を開催します。
テクノロジーの進化や AI、環境の変化、生物学的理解の拡張によって、人間という存在の境界はこれまでになく揺らいでいます。人間と非人間、生物と人工物、自然と文化という従来の二項対立は再編され、存在のあり方はより流動的でハイブリッドなものへと移行しています。本展は、その変化を「人間の終わり」
としてではなく、「人間の拡張」あるいは「新たな存在への生成」として提示します。
パトリシア・ピッチニーニは、生物学的想像力を通して人間と非人間の境界の曖昧さを可視化します。彼女の作品に現れるハイブリッドな存在は、異形でありながら深い共感を呼び起こし、新たな倫理としてのケアや共生を問いかけます。
太郎千恵蔵は、外面的な変異ではなく内面の変容としてのポストヒューマンを示唆します。身体や自己の輪郭が曖昧になる感覚、精神性と物質性の交錯は、日本的身体観とも響き合い、人間という存在が固定されたものではなく、生成し続けるプロセスであることを示します。
中辻悦子は、有機的な素材や生命感覚を通して、人間と自然の連続性を再考させます。彼女の作品は、人間が自然の外部に立つ主体ではなく、生態系の中に埋め込まれた存在であることを静かに示唆し、人間中心主義からの離脱というポストヒューマン的視点を提示します。
北川宏人は、技術と主体性の関係を探りながら、人間と人工的システムの融合によって生まれる新たな存在の可能性を提示します。テクノロジーは人間を置き換えるものではなく、人間の感覚や認識を拡張し、新しい主体を形成する要素として現れます。
本展は、4 名の作家を通して、生物・精神・自然・技術という異なる領域を「ポストヒューマン」という概念を通じて多層的に展開し、未来像としてではなく、現在進行形の存在としてのポストヒューマンを提示することを目指します。

Yoshiaki Inoue Gallery is pleased to present the curated exhibition Post Human — Beyond the Human Condition, at Tokyo Gendai 2026.
Advancements in technology and AI, environmental changes, and the expansion of biological understanding are destabilizing the boundaries of what constitutes the human. Conventional binaries—human and non-human, organic and artificial, nature and culture—are being reconfigured, and modes of existence are shifting toward more fluid and hybrid forms. This exhibition frames these transformations not as the “end of the human,” but as an expansion of the human, or as the emergence of new forms of being.
Patricia Piccinini visualizes the ambiguity between human and non-human through a speculative biological imagination. The hybrid beings that appear in her work evoke both strangeness and deep empathy, prompting reflection on new ethics of care and coexistence.
Chiezo Taro suggests the post-human not as an external mutation, but as an internal transformation. The blurring boundaries of body and self, and the interplay between spirituality and materiality, resonate with Japanese conceptions of the body, presenting the human not as a fixed entity but as a continuously
evolving process.
Etsuko Nakatsuji reconsiders the continuity between humans and nature through organic materials and a sense of vitality. Her work quietly suggests that humans are not autonomous subjects standing outside nature, but rather beings embedded within ecological systems, offering a post-human perspective that
moves beyond anthropocentrism.
Hiroto Kitagawa explores the relationship between technology and subjectivity, proposing new forms of existence that emerge through the fusion of humans and artificial systems. Technology here is not something that replaces the human, but rather a means of expanding perception and cognition, shaping new forms of agency.
Through the works of these four artists, the exhibition develops a multilayered exploration of the post-human across the domains of biology, mind, nature, and technology. It seeks to present the post-human not as a speculative future, but as a condition already unfolding in the present.
